Though there are only 30 lots in Red Cloud, they're not at all alike.  Lots number 1 through 4 in Red Cloud are characterized by striking alpine views, like this view from the building pad of Lot #2:

The views from Red Cloud Lot #2

There's no other view like this anywhere else in Deer Valley.  You can see from Mt. Timpanogos to Clayton's Peak (back side of Brighton ski area) to Jupiter Peak (top of Park City resort) to the Northern Wasatch miles in the distance.

Red Cloud lots 9 through 13 feature mostly aspens, with just a few smaller evergreens.   The topography is gently sloping, and all of these lots have outstanding sun exposure and easy ski-in (from Ontario ski run) and easy ski-out (to Bandana Ski Run) at Deer Valley resort.

The HOA grooms the ski trails within the Red Cloud neighborhood...

When Red Cloud was originally released, there were multiple buyers coveting the best lots in The Hollow.  This photo shows why...

The Ontario ski run meanders through a beautiful hanging meadow just below the peak of Flagstaff Mountain.  Red Cloud lots 29, 28, 27 border The Meadow.  The Meadow lots in Red Cloud have very gently sloping topography, and the views across the meadow are beautiful all year round.  In winter, The Meadow lots in Red Cloud offer great views of skiers traversing the far side of the meadow to access the Hidden Treasure and experts-only Ontario Bowl ski runs.

RED CLOUD LOT #29 SKI ACCESS FROM ONTARIO SKI RUN

Your choice of meadow lots could likely come down to your preference for solar orientation.  Red Cloud lot 29 faces east.  Red Cloud lot 28 faces southeast.  Red Cloud lot 27 faces south.

RED CLOUD LOT #27 SITS ON THE MEADOW

Across the road and under the Quincy chairlift from lot 27 is Red Cloud lot 17.  It's one of the largest lots in Red Cloud at 1.95 acres.  The ski access is simply superb, via the Blue Bell ski run.  It's a big, flat, parcel with trees along the perimeter to provide some privacy, which you'll appreciate with the ski lift nearby.  It doesn't have the distant views that some of the Red Cloud lots in The Crest and The Hollow, but it's a great lot if you like to watch skiers.

RED CLOUD LOT 23

Red Cloud lot 23.  This is the least expensive lot in Red Cloud--because it lacks direct ski access, and it's surrounded by neighboring lots on all sides.  The Quincy chairlift passes by the Southern border of Red Cloud lot 23.

As an interesting note, the most expensive lot sale in the history of Deer Valley Real estate was the sale of Red Cloud lot #22 next door, which re-sold for a cool $5,000,000 in 2008.
